Susie curls around the arm of her power chair in a trio of dancers.Susie has an Associate's Degree in Communications from Austin Community College and a Bachelor's in Magazine Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked as a secretary/ office manager for several years and has experience as a job developer/ job coach for people with disabilities.

Susie joined CTD as a VISTA in 2010 and joined the staff as a part-time employee in 2012. She edits and writes for the e-newsletter and member communications, co-coordinates Pen 2 Paper, and heads up CTD's research department. She also contributes to advocacy efforts and the annual Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival

She sits on the advisory boards for the SAFE Alliance, the Austin Interfaith Inclusion Network (AIIN), and Texas Advocates.

Susie was raised in Boston and California before moving to Austin in 1987. Her hobbies include creative writing, dramatic performance, dancing (right, at a performance in the Texas State Capitol rotunda), modelling, and watching baseball with her other half.
